In the event you experience damage to covered property you should promptly: 

  • Notify the police if a law may have been broken.
  • As soon as possible, notify your insurance carrier or us with a description of how, when and where the loss or damage occurred. You may complete the Property Loss Notice below or call our claims department on 516-766-3513 ext. 102.
  • Take all reasonable steps to protect the Covered Property from further damage, keep records of your expenses to protect the property, for consideration in the settlement of the claim.
  • You may be required to permit the insurance adjustor to inspect the property proving the loss or damage and examine your books and records.
  • You will also be required to sign a sworn proof of loss within 60 days after being requested to do so.
