This process not only educates our clients, but also gives them ability to gauge their own risk tolerance; thereby allowing us to construct a low cost risk management program that includes insurance, risk transfer agreements as well as policies and procedures that lead to the long term control of insurance cost.
The risk identification process starts with a thorough and intensive review of a client’s insurance policies, customer, vendor and supplier agreements as well as complete physical inspections of their plants and other locations. This allows us to create a catalog and comprehensive list of every potential risk a client could face. With this set of data we are able to develop and recommend the best risk management strategies and insurance coverage. This unique methodology sets us apart in the commercial insurance sector. Our approach gives our clients a much needed competitive edge.
I am an independent broker, which means, I always place my allegiance with my customer, not the insurance carrier. Our processes and methodology position us as respected true trusted advisors and not salesmen.
I am passionate about the outdoors and the environment. I also enjoy participating in sports with my sons and traveling with my wife Mary Kay. Hiking, fishing and salt and freshwater boating are activities that my family and I do together.
As Vice-President of Operations for J.A. I use my three decades of experience and industry knowledge to implement insurance strategies to reduce risk exposure. It is our goal to develop effective protection plans with the proper insurance to cover each business’s specific requirements. Our approach allows us to provide more comprehensive coverage at the same or lower rate that a client had been paying previously.
I oversee client relationships and onboarding of new accounts. I manage loss control and work with clients to create a culture of workplace safety. My team and I proactively work with clients to make facilities safer by bringing in safety improvement programs to reduce hazards and exposure to risk. These actions reduce accidents and claims, which controls long-term insurance costs and minimizes rate increases.
My position with the firm allows me to meet and communicate regularly with our clients and build relationships. I often become a trusted insurance and business advisor, providing information and support whenever possible.
The agency has clients from a variety of business sectors: beauty, health care, bakeries, manufacturing and hospitality. For these clients we seek to remove or transfer risk whenever possible. By doing this, we minimize exposure and reduce insurance costs.

In my role as vice president for the agency, I am responsible for working with and providing our team the tools, resources and training needed to serve clients. It is important to me that our sales professionals are experts in risk mitigation and they engender exceptional working relationships with clients and the insurance companies we represent.
The insurance sector has changed and our agency has adapted successfully. We are expanding our business, and to maintain this growth in the New York regional market, nationally and internationally, I am exploring and vetting opportunities. I started my career working in real estate and joined the agency a few years after it was founded by my brother. My experience in real estate and insurance sales, has given me knowledge needed to guide our professionals in serving clients effectively. We focus on building long term relationships and providing value. Today, we have an exceptional group of sales professionals who serve clients in a wide variety of industries, both domestically and internationally.
We are “generalists,” and serve many sectors with special expertise in technology, biosciences, hospitality, beauty, real estate, marine, manufacturing and other industries.
Advances in technology allow us to serve and communicate with clients more rapidly and efficiently. We have streamlined communications for the benefit of clients and introduced an app that gives commercial clients direct access to their accounts and tools for filing claims. This is a tremendous convenience for companies, especially those that employ, for example, 50 or more drivers who are issued ID cards or for companies that want to add or delete employees receiving health insurance coverage.
I enjoy entrepreneurial activities and working with people from different businesses. With my brothers, I am co-owner and lead the management team of Shiro of Japan, a respected restaurant enterprise with multiple restaurants and corporate catering operations. I graduated from NYU with a Degree in Business Administration in 1986. I grew up in West Islip, Long Island, which has always been my home. I am married and have three adult children. I enjoy traveling, boating, fishing and golfing.
All business owners face challenges as they seek to have their companies grow and prosper. Along with the team of insurance and benefits professionals at J.A. Faccibene & Associates, Inc., and United Benefit Solutions, I use my experience and industry knowledge to create effective insurance or benefits programs. As Chief Operating Officer for both entities, it is my responsibility to coordinate service activities, continuing education programs, and automation systems and to ensure that clients receive the insurance coverage they require at premiums that fit their budgets.
One of my priorities is to manage our insurance carrier relations. This allows me to develop close working relationships with carrier personnel. Interacting on a first-name basis with our carrier partners allows us to deliver the highest level of service in an expeditious manner. It also gives me firsthand knowledge of their risk appetite, target client profiles and underwriting guidelines. This ensures that our clients receive the broadest insurance coverage at the best prices available.
I also oversee our renewal process. This is the cornerstone of our account retention program. It begins with an extensive risk review of each account and of each account’s activity for the expiring policy period. My team assesses any new risks and will adjust coverage and plans to meet the specific needs of each client.
Outside of work I am involved with programs for children with special needs. I am also involved with youth sports with my middle son, who loves baseball.

My over 30 years of experience working in a variety of fields, including the garment industry and financial services sector, allows me to understand the challenges involved in running businesses. Other industries I work with include health care, pharmaceuticals, life science, professional services, manufacturing and distribution.

I enjoy working out at the gym and have completed seven mini-triathlons. I am also an avid supporter of animal charities, including the North Shore Animal League. I live in Dix Hills with my wife, and we are the proud parents of three sons.

Erin has been with J.A. Faccibene & Associates since the year 2002. She began working as the receptionist and grew with the agency by working in various roles in customer service and marketing through the years. Erin is now part of the management team and continues to handle new business marketing. She graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor's Degree and later obtained her Property and Casualty License through Poh's Institute. Erin enjoys volunteering her time at the local animal rescues.
Tina came to us in 2014 with over 20 years of experience in the industry. She attended Nassau Community College and obtained her Property & Casualty License. She is bilingual and has a great customer service attittude. In her spare time, she attends Church, including volunteering for the less fortunate. She also enjoys reading with her two book clubs and spending time with her children.
Serea joined J.A Faccibene & Associates in July of 2017 as an Account Executive. She has over 9 years of experience as an Account Manager. She has her Property & Casualty License and Life Accident & Health License. She is a team player and provides excellent customer service. Serea resides in Rockville Centre, NY with her family. In her spare time, Serea enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.
LaTonya has been in the insurance industry for over 25 years. She has experienced the Carrier side as well as the Brokerage side. Through the years she has been involved with everything from Compliance, to Claims handling, to Underwriting accounts to Marketing and Servicing clients as a Broker. In her spare time, LaTonya enjoys spending time outdoors and family activities.
Luciana started at JAF in October 2018 with over 10 years of experience in the industry. She attended Adelphi University and obtained her P&C license at On-Site Insurance School. Luciana is a team player and is focused on providing the best customer service possible. Luciana loves to travel and spending time with friends and family.
Sharon joined J.A. Faccibene in the year 2011 as an Assistant Account Executive. She attended William J. Angell Surety School before getting her Property & Casualty License. She is a bilingual, teamplayer, who provides excellent customer service. Sharon resides in Queens, NY with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time, Sharon enjoys animals, reading and being outdoors.
Samantha started at JAF as the receptionist in the year 2014. Samantha graduated from SUNY Cortland with a degree in Communications. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family in her spare time.
Jeannette was born in Queens, NY and currently resides in Long Island, NY with her family. She attended both H. Frank Carey High School and Nassau Community College. She was fortunate enough to complete a Service Industry internship at Walt Disney World in Florida right after college. In the year 2002, she began her insurance career in the Customer Service department for a Tri-State Consumer Insurance Company. Jeannette later obtained her Property & Casualty License and moved on to work as a Personal Lines Manager for a local insurance agency. She joined the JAF team in the year 2014 as a Personal Lines Account Executive. Jeannette loves spending time traveling with her husband and two sons.
Melisa is a native West Indian who grew up in Queens, NY. She currently resides in Long Island, NY with her family. She attended Mary Louis Academy and received her Criminal Justice degree from Nassau Community College. Melisa began her insurance career at a local Long Island agnecy. She started at an entry level position and worked her way up to Account Executive. Melisa has been in the insurance industry for about 10 years. She joined the JAF team in 2013 as a Personal Lines Account Executive. Since joing the JAF team, her family has expanded. Melisa is proud mother of two little girls, keeping her and her husband very busy.
Cindy started working at J.A. Faccibene & Associates in the year 2003. She currently handles the Cancellations, Appointments and Licensing. In Cindy's free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
Marisa started in the year 2015 as the receptionist. She graduated Nassau Community College with her Associates Degree in Paralegal studies. She is an advocate dog lover. Marisa spends her free time with her dogs and reading.
Susette has been in the insurance industry for about 18 years. She worked at American marketing Center as an account receivables/payables specialist. She obtained her property and casualty license in 2013. Susette joined J.A .Faccibene 2017. On her free time she enjoying spending time with her daughter.
